We feed body and soul, come join us!

We’re Friends of St. Andrew or just “Friends” to our volunteers, guests and the community. We’re a Soup Kitchen on Colfax Avenue in the heart of Old Downtown Aurora. Friends is a Queen of Peace Parish Ministry, owned and operated by the parish since 1986. For 40 years, we’ve served the most vulnerable people on East Colfax Avenue.

Friends is known for its works of mercy and it is trusted by the poor
and disenfranchised in our community.

Friends is a ministry of hospitality. We work humbly in a spirit of friendship
with respect and kindness for all, preparing homemade soup, distributing food baskets,
and offering other essential items like clothing to any and all who come to our door.

We’re known for our soup and we are loved for our compassion…

We encounter, listen, accompany, encourage…
That’s what Friends do!

At Friends…we feed body and soul

“Hunger for love is more difficult to satisfy than the hunger for bread… It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.”

Queen of Peace

Queen of Peace Catholic Parish, located at 13120 E. Kentucky Ave. in Aurora, Colorado, is a vibrant, multicultural Roman Catholic community. Founded nearly 50 years ago, it is one of the largest parishes in the area. The parish also founded and continues to operate Friends of St. Andrew, and Friends is grateful for the vision and support that the parish provides.
